Versailles for The National Gallery of Australia
The project
Third Drawer Down were thrilled to collaborate with the National Gallery of Australia on their collection for Versailles: Treasures from the Palace. An exhibition highlighting a mesmerising period of French history, the exhibition saw more than 130 paintings, intricate tapestries, furniture, sculptures and objects from the royal gardens travel from France to Australia. The collection was a combination of artwork directly from the exhibition and commissioned work to highlight the period, especially Marie Antoinette.
