Nicole Eisenman's Seder 2016, at The Jewish Museum
Third Drawer Down Studio were invited by The Jewish Museum to design a Seder Plate to sit along side their latest installment of the Masterpieces & Curiosities exhibition series. Nicole Eisenman’s Seder (2010), a painting commissioned by the Jewish Museum as part of Shifting the Gaze: Painting and Feminism (2010 – 2011), is presented with portraits and objects from the institution’s vast holdings.
Nicole Eisenman is an American artist who is known primarily for her paintings. Eisenman infuses her work with dark humour, contemporary fears and desires, and knowing critiques of pop culture and art history.
